Late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September-October) offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and gorgeous natural light. Mid-summer is fantastic for long days, though it's peak tourist season.
Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL) is well-connected to the city centre by train (P and I lines) and Finnair City Buses. The train is often the quickest and most economical option, taking around 30 minutes.
For modern Nordic cuisine, try Restaurant Olo or Grön, but don't overlook the superb street food at the Old Market Hall (Vanha Kauppahalli) for budget-friendly, authentic Finnish dishes like salmon soup or karjalanpiirakka.
