About
BECKERTON is the collaboration of New York-based vocalist Jenny Bates (Diamond Field) and Grammy® Award-winning engineer Tony Lake (Sting). From their 2021 debut release, “Unpacked Cases,” to their hit cover release of Tommy Tutone’s “867-5309/Jenny,” BECKERTON has collected listeners across the globe. Their thematic story continues with “No Longer Have To” where songs about obsessive love and skeptical self-worth have evolved to powerful rock anthems about taking back one’s agency and finding unyielding self-devotion. ABOUT THE BAND: Along with fronting BECKERTON, Jenny Bates is the live performance lead singer for the synthpop group Diamond Field. Their cover track of New Order’s “Temptation” was released in July 2023 and the band toured with The Motion Epic and appeared with synthwave favorites, Bunny X, in August 2023. Off stage, she is a Broadway tour publicist and marketing director and has represented some of the most well-known Broadway musicals in the world including Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Jersey Boys, MJ, The Last Ship starring Sting, Fun Home, The Light in the Piazza and many more. Jenny is also the behind-the-camera eye of JenEpiphany Photography, taking performance and publicity photos for local NYC bands, free for their personal and professional uses to help pay it forward. She hails from San Diego but now proudly resides in New York City. Originally from Detroit, Tony Lake has worked with artists as diverse as Sting, Shaggy, Far East Movement, Jukebox The Ghost, Charlie XCX, and Mumford and Sons, and has toured across the world with Sting and Shaggy, and with acts supporting Katy Perry, the Black Eyed Peas, and LMFAO. Tony won a Grammy® Award in 2019 for best Reggae Album with Shaggy and Sting's "44/876." He is also part of the rock band, Detroit Dreamers, with Martin Kierszenbaum. Their eponymous EP debuted in May 2020, and in 2021, they partnered with Jeep and Wallace Guitars with the song “Dreamers” to debut the Jeep Custom Guitar. Tony's instrumental project, Danser Dans La Mer’s, 7-song collection entitled “Constellations I” debuted in December 2020. He is represented by Cherrytree Management.
