About
In his youth David Jones would hang about the Eastney Beam Engine House in Portsmouth where he befriended one of the security guards, an elderly blues guitarist who called himself ‘Scaramouche.’ Scaramouche took Jones under his wing and taught him how to play chess and also how to play guitar. Years later Jones has adopted his mentor’s name – with added ‘Kid’ – as a tribute. Kid Scaramouche = Roxy Music playing Morricone playing Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
