About
Tung in Cheek are a 4-man post-indie rock band with members split between North and South Dublin. Members consist of Andy Burke (lead vocals & rhythm guitar), Eoin O'Shea (lead guitar & backing vocals), Gavin Dunne (bass) and Chris Brady (drums & backing vocals). Tung in Cheek's catalogue includes a blend of indie psychedelic ballads and garage rock post punk tunes. Tung in Cheek had their busiest year to date in 2022 with gigs played around Ireland and London. These included sold out headliners in Dublin, Cork and London. Towards the end of 2022 the band embarked on recording their debut EP with Dan Doherty of Darklands audio. 'Knockoffs & Dummies' the 5-track EP is due for release May 19th. The band are currently in the process of releasing some singles from the EP. 'Rib Cage' was released in March and marked the bands first release in over a year. It received critical claim and air time from notable Irish and UK media outlets and radio stations. The second single 'Lucid' is released on Friday 14th of April. This May 2023, Tung in Cheek embark on their Knockoffs & Dummies EP tour with shows chalked in for Dublin, Cork, Galway, Bray, Mullingar and London. They will be joined by many top emerging artists such as Qbanna, Scustin, Loraine Club, Iris, Fynch, The District and Nixer. All details can be found on the bands socials @therealtungincheek.
