About
VANDENPOLL was founded in 2026 after more than 40 years of international fame, stadium tours, artistic feuds, comeback albums, drinking problems, and a documentary on Videoland. None of that actually happened, by the way, but you just need to deliver it with enough confidence. The band consists of the Van den Poll brothers: Ryan on vocals and Joran on guitar. Together they write, record, produce, and smash everything together themselves. With VANDENPOLL, Ryan is taking music seriously for the first time. Joran, meanwhile, has been messing around with his solo project THE SKYLINE ILLUSION since 2011, which later became MARSHFIRE because musicians always think a new name will magically solve their problems. He also played in the metalcore band UNBURDEN. Two singles in four years and then the whole thing completely fell apart exactly as God intended for beginning metal bands. Their debut single CHEAP GOLD is now out and has already racked up a crushing 17 streams. That’s basically underground cult status. Some songs have more listeners in a single prison cell, but those are details you ignore when you’re building a legacy.
