YALANA

About

YALANA is a Los Angeles–based pop rock artist creating music inspired by the city’s diverse music scene. Her songs blend melodic guitars and emotional vocals, reflecting themes of identity and connection. I’m an independent artist originally from Russia and currently based in the United States. I started writing song lyrics at the age of eight and began playing guitar when I was fourteen. By sixteen, I was performing as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and electric guitarist in my own rock band. Over the years, music has always been a core part of my life. I later worked professionally in the entertainment industry as an artist manager and PR specialist, and in 2017 I moved to the U.S., where I now run an international PR and marketing agency. In 2025, I returned to releasing my own music as a solo artist. My musical inspirations come mainly from rock and alternative music. Growing up, I was heavily influenced by Scorpions, and later by artists such as Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, Nightwish, Halsey, and Machine Gun Kelly. I write all my songs in English and use music as a form of emotional expression and storytelling.
