Bike fit

Set up for how you ride.

An hour on the jig with you pedalling: commuting, long days or racing, the fit follows the riding. Sample: £120.

A road bike on a fitting jig in the workshop, the rider's legs on the pedals and the fitter adjusting the saddle

The hour

What happens on the jig.

  1. Talk

Where it hurts, how far you ride and what you want from the bike. Ten minutes.

  2. Measure

Leg length, flexibility and foot shape, off the bike.

  3. Ride and adjust

On the jig at your usual effort: saddle height and setback, bar reach and drop, cleats, one change at a time.

  4. Write it down

Every measurement on a card and emailed, so any shop can set the bike up again.

What you leave with

Included in the fit.

  1. Your fit card

    Included

Saddle height, setback, reach, drop and cleat positions

  2. Small parts

  3. A follow-up

A ten-minute check after two weeks of riding
