The river walk
2 hours, 7 kmA flat loop from the garden gate along the river and back through the water meadows.

20 min driveA Saturday market, antique shops and a good butcher.
The swimming spot
15 min walkA shingle beach on the river, safe for children in summer.

From the garden gate.
To the pub
Out of the gate, left down the lane past the church; the Plough is on the right.
The river walk
Through the gate at the bottom of the garden, follow the field edge to the river, keep the water on your right for 3 km, cross at the footbridge and come back through the meadows.
The swimming spot
Take the river walk for ten minutes; the shingle beach is below the willow.
