How we make

Material, temperature, time.

A repeatable studio process for an object that still carries the marks of being made by hand.

Smoke curling from a just-extinguished pillar candle beside a tall ivory pillar and an amber reed diffuser in warm light

The process

From first accord to final trim.

  1. Compose

Fragrance notes are balanced cold, warm and after the flame is out.

  2. Test

Wax, vessel and wick are trialled as one system.

  3. Pour

Small runs are poured and left to cure without rushing.

  4. Finish

Every surface and wick is checked before the candle is wrapped.

Care

A cleaner, steadier burn.

How should the first burn work?

Let the melt pool reach close to the edge before extinguishing, and never burn for longer than the maker's stated limit.

Why trim the wick?

A short wick helps keep the flame controlled and reduces soot. Follow the care card supplied with your candle.

Where should I place it?

On a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, children, pets and anything that can catch fire. Never leave a lit candle unattended.
