Hillside Farm Shop
5 min drive
Bread, meat, cheese and wine; order a party box by Wednesday and they deliver to the house.
The river walk
2 hours, 7 km
A flat loop from the garden gate along the river and back through the water meadows.
Burford
20 min drive
A Saturday market, antique shops and a good butcher.
The swimming spot
15 min walk
A shingle beach on the river, safe for children in summer.

On foot

To the pub
Out of the gate, left down the lane past the church; the Plough is on the right.
The river walk
Through the gate at the bottom of the garden, follow the field edge to the river, keep the water on your right for 3 km, cross at the footbridge and come back through the meadows.
The swimming spot
Take the river walk for ten minutes; the shingle beach is below the willow.
