Who we are
His And Hers Motors Limited runs His and Hers Motors, an independent Jaguar and Land Rover garage at 51 Loverock Road, Reading, RG30 1DZ. We decide how the details you send us are used, which makes us the controller of your information. You can reach us at info@hisandhersmotors.com or on 07903 196626. AshDub provides and hosts this website and stores and delivers the messages you send through it. AshDub does this on our behalf and only to provide that service.
What we collect
When you book or ask a question we receive your name, email address and phone number, your vehicle registration and any vehicle details you confirm, the service you need, your preferred date and time, how you heard about us and anything you write in your message. If you request an extended warranty we also receive your invoice number. If you apply for a job, your email app sends your application to us directly; it isn't stored by this website. When registration lookup is switched on, your registration is sent from our server to a vehicle data service to fetch public details such as make, model and colour. It isn't used for anything else.
How we use it, and why
We use your details to reply to you, arrange and carry out work on your vehicle, handle warranty requests and keep a proper record of what was agreed. We rely on taking steps at your request before a contract and on carrying out the work you ask for, and on our legitimate interest in running the garage and keeping accurate records. We don't sell your information or use it for marketing without asking you first.
Who else sees it
AshDub, which runs the website, stores your enquiry and sends the emails it generates. AshDub uses its own service providers for hosting, databases and email delivery. A vehicle data service receives your registration only when lookup is switched on. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. The list of providers and the safeguards they rely on is being confirmed and will be added here.
Visits to this website
This website does not count, measure or track your visits. The website's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and Fontshare, which receive your IP address when your browser fetches them. Our cookie notice lists what is stored on your device.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking records for as long as we need them to deal with your request and the work on your vehicle, and for as long as the law or a possible claim requires after that. The specific retention periods are being confirmed and will be added here.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or object to how we use it. To do any of these, email info@hisandhersmotors.com or call 07903 196626. Some records may need to be kept for legal, safety or legitimate business reasons, and we'll tell you if that applies. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
