The most efficient way to reach the stadium is via the Xochimilco Light Rail (Tren Ligero). The 'Estadio Azteca' station provides direct access. Purchase a Movilidad Integrada card for easy travel across the city's transport network.

Before the match, explore the nearby historic centre of Coyoacán. Its cobbled streets, colourful markets, and fantastic restaurants offer an authentic taste of Mexico City, just a short taxi ride from the stadium.

A strict bag policy is enforced; only very small bags or clear bags are permitted. For major 2026 events, expect to need official Fan ID for entry. Check the specific event rules before you travel.

Mexico City sits at an altitude of 2,240 metres. To avoid altitude sickness, stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water and give yourself a day or two to acclimatise before undertaking strenuous activity.

The area around the stadium buzzes with energy on event days. Safely enjoy the atmosphere and try some authentic street food like tacos or tortas from busy, clean-looking stalls.

Return to the Coyoacán neighbourhood for a more relaxed post-event atmosphere. Find a cantina or restaurant in its main square, Jardín Hidalgo, for dinner and drinks.

For a more vibrant nightlife, take a taxi to the trendy neighbourhoods of Condesa or Roma Norte, known for their world-class bars and late-night restaurants.
